Act NOW for Their Future…

Junior Achievement is a world-wide organization that serves over 9 million students annually through the delivery of education-based programs focused on entrepreneurship, work readiness, fi nancial literacy and career exploration across all grades (Kindergarten to 12th Grade). Founded in Springfi eld, Massachusetts in 1919, JA is the oldest and most established volunteer-driven, non-profi t education organization in the world.

Our children are our most precious resource. By providing economic education, Junior Achievement teaches the self-confi dence required to succeed in our ever-changing world. Impacting children occurs “one child at a time” and requires a dedicated network of committed volunteers – people like yourself who care about the future of our children, and who dedicate their time and talent.

How much time is involved?

Traditional Delivery Method

JA elementary programs (K-5) consist of fi ve (5) 30-45-minute activities, typically presented once a week, over a fi ve week period. In middle and high school, JA activities are 45-minutes each session and there are typically 6-8 activities depending on the program selected by the teacher. Preparation time for each JA activity is typically an hour.

JA in a Day Delivery Method

JA in a Day programs consolidate the traditional delivery method into just one visit into a classroom, for 3 - 5 hours. Preparation time is typically two hours before the day of the event.

What makes a successful Volunteer?
